My Students

I am a Kindergarten teacher in West Hills, CA to an exceptional bunch of students. My class comes to school excited to learn and they openly accept the challenges of our day!

Our Kindergarten classroom is full of curiosity and discovery, much of which is done through storytelling and books.

Kindergarten is a year of exploration, growth, and change. It is in Kindergarten that students learn the foundation for future academics and the life skills necessary to navigate the world around them. It is through books and hands-on materials that we learn so many of these life lessons.

My Project

My kindergarteners are wiggly-squiggly and that's a good thing! My students need flexible seating to utilize our classroom space and maximize learning! Alternative seating options like balance balls and wobble chairs allow my squirmy kindergarteners to move all they want as they learn! Kindergarteners are much too little to be expected to sit still in their traditional desk chairs all day--which is why we need some alternative seating in our classroom! These wobble and balance ball chairs provide seating with movement that allow children the stimulation they need to spend time focusing on a task. These "chairs" will not only help my students focus but they will encourage small group and collaborative interactions in our classroom!
