Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are a generation of 'technology first' learners: smartphones, 4K television, and the cloud.

They are comfortable with swiping and clicking as a medium to learn and investigate.

My students have to relearn what it's like being in a classroom in this paradigm of hybrid learning.

They will champion despite some not-so-positive living and financial situations. One big commonality they all share is their interest in being together again, being social.

My Project

If my project is funded, I will be able to allow students the opportunity to refocus themselves during instruction. With little to no in-class experiences, it's sometimes difficult to sit still for the duration of a lesson or independent work.

Having the seat cushions will remind students that they have to control their bodies and allow their brains to tackle the task at hand.

It will be a fun way to learn what is often a sensitive topic of self-control.
