In music class, we are often moving and grooving and the students love it! However, sometimes they have trouble containing their amazing musical energy when it is time to do some sitting and listening. We got a few wiggle cushions and stools in our classroom last year and they are extremely popular. All the students want to use them every day but unfortunately we don't have enough to make that possible. This project will allow every student to always have the option of a wiggle cushion if they want or need one. The cushions will give students that need a bit more sensory stimulation the tools they need to help focus and fully participate in our music experiences.
These wiggle cushions and regular cushions will literally help set students up for success!
In addition, the regular cushions will provide some more comfortable flexible seating options for students as they work in different parts of the classroom on music activities. Each student is an important member of our music community and we want them to feel safe and set up for success.
