My Students

What I didn't know is that when I was told to move to a new school due to Covid 19 that I would absolutely love my new class. Because families chose to do virtual school over traditional which took me away from my original 2nd-grade class to my new 5th-grade class. What I didn't know is that this class would reach deep into my heart and give me the desire to want more for them. I am currently working at a Title 1 school. What I want for my students, is for them to be successful! They are a lively bunch who love learning. They are hands-on learners and are more successful when working together with materials and partners. I would love to be able to load my classroom with things that keep them more focused and interactive.

My Project

5th Graders are wigglers too!

5th Graders seem older but it doesn't mean they require less movement.

Many of my students need constant stimulation. As a result this year I have learned that 5th graders cannot keep still. I would love to provide them with alternative seating to help keep their wiggles to a minimum.

I would love to get seating to help a few students every year who need a different way to keep their bodies busy. I have learned many students love sitting on the floor and getting comfortable.
