My Students

When I try to think of a way to describe my students the word that comes to mind is diverse. My students come from all different backgrounds. With all of their different backgrounds, they bring different needs.

They like to learn new things, love to move, and thrive on positive attention.

My students love to come to school because I strive to create a caring and safe place for them to come and learn, which some of them may not have at home. My students have big dreams of becoming doctors and marine biologists and the best yet, teachers!

My Project

I have had many students come into my classroom that have ADD, ADHD, and some just have a hard time sitting still and focusing. These are hard things to do at six and seven years old for the lengths of time that are required of them. These Wobble Chairs and Wobble Cushions will help my students be able to move without distracting themselves or others and in turn will help them focus their attention on learning instead of being still or getting comfortable.

These Wobble Chairs and Wobble Cushions will reduce the amount of redirection while allowing the students to focus on their work.

They will also help to show improvements in student grades and behavior.
