Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders are busy bees, needing constant movement to help them focus and stay engaged. Student work significantly improves when they have a chance to choose alternative seating that works best for them.

My hope is that these wiggle stools will help my first graders stay engaged, focused, and have fun while making academic gains in both literacy and math during small group instruction.

These stools will also be available for students to use during independent work. They work wonders for my students with neurodivergent needs.

My students have stolen a special piece of my heart this year with their resilience, growth, and perseverance. Regardless of what obstacles they may face, they come to school with excitement to learn, show empathy towards their peers, and lead with an open heart.
