My Students

My students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day! They enjoy movement and hands-on activities the most. It is hard for most of them to stay engaged while sitting in a hard, uncomfortable chair all day. They often get fidgety and restless. I would like the opportunity to offer them flexible seating options that will make them more comfortable while they are learning!

A comfortable learning environment will lead to more student engagement, which means more success!

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom. When students are uncomfortable they are more easily distracted and unproductive. Through the use of the wobble chairs and stools my students will be able to take turns in different locations around the classroom and have different seating options.

Students learn best when they have some control over their environment.

Flexible seating allows students to choose the location of where they work and with whom. Children love to move! The wobble chairs and stools will allow my students to bounce, lean, twist and sit in positions that suit them best.

Flexible seating also encourages students to share space and supplies. Using the wobble chairs and stools will make it easier to work in pairs, small groups and even whole class discussions.
