My Project

My students are wonderfully neurodivergent and diverse! They thrive on structure and routine as well as being able to move throughout the day. They enjoy being active and learning through play, music, and hands on activities. Each child is unique and has a different strength and interest such as building, coloring, or gymnastics.

Since my students are sensory seekers, they are in need of tools to help them fidget, rock, feel like they're being hugged and allow them to move their body in a safe and healthy way.

My classroom used to have a sensory canoe, rocking chairs and trampoline but after a few years they started to break. My students are missing these items as they are essential for helping them regulate their sensory needs and emotions throughout the day.

My students are creative, determined, and loving. They deserve to have an accessible classroom that supports their needs.
