My Students

I am teacher of 25 first grade leaders. These little minds are excited to come to class every day and learn new things. They know that school is a place they can feel same and accepted for who they are. Each child learns that they are loved and have so much potential and can do amazing things if they work hard.

We are learning to lead through example and being responsible for ourselves and our choices.

We work together to solve problems and learn through cooperative learning and hands on practice. These students have inquisitive minds and a thirst to learn new things every day.

My Project

Kids are designed to wiggle and move, not sit in a hard rigid chair all day. Unfortunately, most classrooms are not designed with the students in mind which leads to fidgety, distracted kids who are focused more on the discomfort of their seat than the lesson that is being presented.

Flexible seating allow students to choose their own seating in order to get comfortable, get moving, and get focused on the important task of learning.

It also helps students with conditions such as ADD and ADHD a way to channel their energy and provide the stimulation they need in a healthy, productive way that is not disruptive to the classroom.
