Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class this year is an absolutely amazing group of kiddos. They are eager to participate in class and have been so excited to be around each other again. I have a very diverse population this year, with many high needs kids and my kids time and time again, show me how wonderful it is to be together because they step up to help each other at every possible moment.

My Project

1.NP.4.2, which is recognizing the mental, social, and physical benefits of physical activity as well as 7. SM.4.1 developing a variety of healthy practices and behaviors to maintain or improve personal health, really tie into the resources I would like to buy for my students. A lot of students have had a hard time adjusting to sitting in the classroom, and as many breaks, as I try to give them, I see them fidgeting more often than not and I want to provide more avenues for them to be able to move physically without having to sacrifice crucial class time. I also use the little erasers and popits as part of financial literacy standards in which they will use their class money to buy things from our classroom store.
