This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
George Santayana once said, "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I have the privilege of teaching United States history to enthusiastic middle school students. They become inquisitive when learning about the past and how they can make history impactful in today's world. They are eager to try new things and enjoy sharing their growing knowledge of history and the personal connections that they have made to it. My students are the leaders of tomorrow!
My Project
The use of an additional monitor while teaching will allow me to seamlessly move in between the various tools we use while working synchronously online. With the use of an additional monitor, I can provide support to a few students while still keeping the whole class engaged and learning. Students now more than ever need us, teachers, to be supportive in this different distance learning setting. An additional monitor will also help me balance the windows so that I do not run into any connectivity or speed issues while teaching live.
