Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of my students are special, each in their own way. They are full of curiosity and come in eager to learn every single day. Although many of them face daily challenges and struggles coming from their home lives, they still strive for excellence and see their time spent in school as 'happy' and 'comfortable.'

My students are down to earth and engaging children.

I'm very happy to be their teacher this year and to be able to help them reach their full potential. There is no greater reward, as a teacher, than to be able to influence someone's life in this manner.

My Project

Having access to headphones will make an enormous impact on my students' learning. Most of the students in my class do not own headphones nor does the school provide them. In addition, out of the six headphones in my classroom, three of them do not work.

Being able to get these students on a computer and finish a lesson or an assignment is a true challenge.

Most, if not all, of the work they have to complete online requires sound. The majority of the time my students go to the library when it is available in order to complete an assignment. It would be a dream come true for them to be able to finish lessons on time and, in turn, raise their grades.
