Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please spread kindness to high school students and families in need. The Kindness Closet has two parts: hygiene and snack/shelf stable items.

The Kindness Closets help students who need basic hygiene items or a snack to help them make it through the day.

We provide deodorant, feminine hygiene, hair, ties, lip, balm, and socks. There are several closets on campus to ensure a students doesn’t need to travel far for an item. Any student can come up and take what they need without the embarrassment of asking.

The second part of the Kindness Closet provides support to those who are food insecure. Hungry students cannot focus on schoolwork. Students have access to snacks and shelf stable take home food items. Those students are referred through teachers, guidance, special education and mental health support services.

The Kindness Closet is a great way to directly give to kids in need. We appreciate any support in spreading kindness.
