This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class consists of 1st-3rd grade Life Skills students who learn best through visual supports such as icons, guided practice and visual/verbal prompting. With this project, we would have the required tools to provide the students with their icons, writing poster reminders and reusable worksheets that will be laminated and used with the Expo markers.
My goal for this project is to support the students in their reading and writing goals where they can progress from guided practice to individually completing their writing and reading work by providing them with their visual supports.
All of the tools listed in this project will help in providing not only the students with visual support throughout the day but during their writing and reading routines in practicing their sight words and writing skills.
