My Project

I work in probably the most amazing high schools in the country! We have the best students who represent a worldwide population. Our kids are kind, smart, tremendously resilient, and have a true appreciation for the uniqueness of their classmates and themselves. OHS is extremely diverse. Aside from being a good mix of students who were raised in the area, many of our kids have moved in from other districts, states, and countries. We have well over 67+ languages spoken in our building. There is not a day that goes by that I am not amazed at what our students do and bring to this world. Not only do I want the best for them, I want to ensure they are getting the best of me.

So much has changed after Covid in the way families are approaching college and career planning for their children.

By having technology that I can rely on and that is fast enough for me to meet the needs of my 300+ students I can ensure that they are getting what they need to plan for their whole well-being.

Right now, I am working off a combination of a computer that doesn't run consistently and my personal cell phone to ensure language fluency. Having a computer with enough space allows me to effectively and efficiently work with students (thus allowing me increased time to meet with more kids, more frequently) and also allows me to give them access to modern technology. Having a monitor with a camera in it allows me to see students' and families' faces as we communicate virtually when needed. Thank you for your consideration!
