This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi, I am the occupational therapist at CBS in Washington Heights, NYC. My students come from culturally diverse backgrounds and families. CB is an amazing place they can call home throughout the day. Since CB is a place where everyone is accepted, the students greatly range in their ability levels. If you could, please help me support my students' fine motor, gross motor, and sensory growth by sponsoring some of these items. My students are really the best and they will be so excited to use new materials this year! The Legi liners will make writing legibly so much easier. The play doh is a fan favorite and it supports their fine motor development along with sensory skills. The cards will support improved body awareness, social emotional skills, and core strength (which helps with being able to sit up in a chair). My students have goals ranging from self care/ADL, sensory, fine motor/writing/scissor skills, and classroom participation. I know with these materials the hard work they put in to reach these goals will be so much easier and more enjoyable, thanks to you! Thank you so much!
