Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all low income students who enjoy playing sports and learning new things everyday. I am the assistant coach for the boys varsity soccer team. As well as a teacher at the school. These student-athletes work very hard everyday and take pride in being part of our school team.

Our school is a Title I school, over 90% of the students at our school are on free or reduced lunch.

We are a school in great need. Due to low income and demographics, the team is lacking proper attire, equipment, and everyday sport essentials to practice and games.

My Project

My boys varsity soccer team will be using these sun cool down shorts during their practices and games. Since many of the student athletes are lacking the proper attire for this extra hot Miami sun, having these will ensure with better and longer practices. This will help with hydration times and transitions plus ease my worries if my student-athletes are getting exhausted because of the heat.

The cool down shorts on this project will help the boys feel cool and fresh during practices and games in this super hot climate we are in.

Having these will not only ease my worries about their safety against the sun, but it will also help our team to bond and feel proud on what they have, especially when showing team unity wearing the same attire. Thank you for considering a donation to our boys soccer team. I am sure the boys will appreciate all the donations given.
