My Project

I am writing to request funding for a classroom set of Who Was...? books that align with our 5th-grade curriculum at our school. These books will provide essential resources for students as they research historical figures and events in preparation for our annual Wax Museum project.

The Who Was...? series offers engaging, age-appropriate biographies and historical narratives that will enhance students' understanding of key topics in American history.

These books will serve as foundational texts for our Wax Museum project, where students select a historical figure, conduct research, and present their findings in a living history exhibit. By using these books, students will develop critical research skills, improve reading comprehension, and gain a deeper appreciation for American history.

The estimated cost for a classroom set of these books is approximately $200, which will allow each student access to a book that aligns with their chosen historical figure or event. Any funding assistance provided will directly impact our students' ability to engage with history in a meaningful and interactive way.
