My Project

Much of the young adult literature today ventures towards the darker side of life: monsters, war, and the like.

However, romance novels provide an opportunity for young adults to dream about love and romance and get lost in the whirlwind of other people’s love stories!

Our students are laser-focused on reading diverse stories, but I believe reading romance novels can provide a break from academic pressure, while emphasizing good storytelling. This strikes a healthy balance between reading for pleasure and reaping the rewards of reading.

I look forward to sharing more love stories with my students and seeing how they respond to these wonderful stories.
