Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Schools should provide feminine pads for girls because access to menstrual products is essential for their health, dignity, and education. Without these supplies, many students may struggle with discomfort, embarrassment, or even miss school due to their periods.

Ensuring that pads are available helps promote equality by allowing all students to focus on their learning rather than worrying about managing their periods in an unsupportive environment.

Additionally, it fosters a culture of inclusivity and breaks the stigma surrounding menstruation.

It is important for girls to feel comfortable asking their teacher for a pad because it helps reduce the shame and stigma surrounding menstruation. When students feel safe and supported, they are less likely to experience embarrassment or anxiety about a natural biological process. This openness ensures they can manage their periods confidently, stay focused on their education, and avoid missing class. Encouraging a positive and understanding environment also teaches respect and normalizes discussions about menstrual health, promoting overall well-being.
