Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

“Who runs the world? Girls!” Young girl need to look up to role models and in my class we set no limits. The children are encourage to role-play and discuss what is important to them in the dramatic play area. We are requesting a princess tent, mini tea party hats, apple juice, books on iconic women, and more.

"There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish.

During this time, we will be honoring the accomplishments of leaders, thinkers, and all those who work to make the world a better, more equal place for women—from Sonia Sotomayor to Malala Yousafzai and Kamala Harris.

In our class the best way to understand a concept of International Women Month is to read on the person they admire. Then students will plan a class-wide wax museum and invite other classrooms to visit. This will happen when the children have a tea party. The goal is for the student to honor the achievements of women of all backgrounds. In addition to recognize the history-makers and barrier breakers of the past.
