My Project

As a Physical Education Teacher, and lover of all sports, I know the positive impact that they have on female students on and off the field. Sport's teach leadership skills, time management, teamwork, lifts confidence levels and much more! Our school is a fairly new school, and this year is special because it will be the first year that we’ll have afterschool team sports! We’re also the first NYC public school on Staten Island for girls and gender expansive students.

Majority of my students come from a lower socioeconomic status and unfortunately have never played on an organized sports team!

These nets and volleyballs would help them practice and get ready for the upcoming season! We’ve been practicing our volleyball skills in PE the past 2 years but haven’t been fortunate enough to play with a volleyball net yet! I know this will bring the girls love for the game to another level!
