Who Run the World? Girls...In Celebration of Women's History Month

My Project

"This goes out to all my girls that's in the school educating oneself on the latest...Who will buy it for themselves & get more money later." Why? Because "Girls Rule the World," we know with "our persuasion, we can build a nation!" We understand that we have "Endless power," and "With our love we can devour!" Why? Because "Girls Rule the World," we're "Repping for the girls who are taking over the world," we're celebrating those who dream of being college grads. "This goes out to all the women getting it in," we respect what you do & want you to shine! "You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it's all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive." (Maya Angelou)

“Think like a queen...A queen is not afraid to fail...Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.” (Oprah Winfrey)

The Barbie Dolls from around the world will help us to shine a light on females throughout history who have made a difference and will provide our female students with the opportunity to be seen, to feel represented as well as empowered. We want our female students to understand, “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” (Michelle Obama). We dream that our female students will realize “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.” (Maya Angelou). By the time our female students leave our elementary building, we know that they will be empowered. Just like Katherine Johnson, they will believe, "Girls are capable of doing everything men are capable of doing. Sometimes they have more imagination than men."
