Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always very eager to learn about famous people. They enjoy reading short, informational texts from the Who Was and Who Is books series. We would love to fill our bookshelves with more books about important people from the present.

These informational books will help students learn about famous people from around the world.

Once students read a Who Was or Who Is book, it triggers them to read other books about the same person or topic. They love learning about historical people and need the extra exposure to nonfiction books.
