My Project

I am requesting materials to help my amazing kindergarteners to catch up on their writing skills, record modeled math strategies, and share their work.

Kindergarten is an important year because students learn to read, write, develop number sense and problem solving skills.

These whiteboards will help the students greatly and build their skills. In kindergarten, my students use whiteboards everyday, especially in math, ELA, and Mandarin class. For example in math class, students will use the whiteboard to practice writing numbers from 1-30 after our oral counting practice. They also use the whiteboards to solve our daily math word problems. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as give them the chance to show and share their work. The school-to-home folders would be a great tool to communicate with families and keep them informed with daily updates on lessons, projects, and student behaviors.
