Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are imaginative and knowledge-hungry. More than three-quarters of the students are from low-income households. They all have different living conditions. With all that is going on in the world, they look forward to going online to do their school work.

My Project

In the classroom, I have used white card stock in sheet protectors as our whiteboards and the students enjoyed it; however, I would need to replace them often because of the daily use. Now that they will be learning from home, I know that sheet protectors with white card stock paper may not make it to the end of the year.

In order to comply with COVID-19 safety precautions, my students will need their own whiteboards to stay safe and healthy.

This past online spring semester, the students would bring up how they miss their makeshift whiteboards. Students will be using these whiteboards in all subject areas.
