Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students reside in Bushwick, Brooklyn and attend a title I school. The majority of the students come from low income families that struggle to get by. Most of my students are English language learners and would benefit from more technology in the class.

Although my students are only in Kindergarten, they are focused and enthusiastic to learn.

Residing in a low-income neighborhood should not reflect what the future holds for them. Regardless of where you are from technology and education should always be available.

My Project

In most schools, using a whiteboard is a daily activity in the classroom. I do not have a smart board, projector, or Elmo in my classroom and I know getting a smart board can cost up to thousands of dollars. Having my students be able to access technology with a interactive whiteboard system will help them become more engaged and motivated to learn.

I believe that students need to know how to use technology to accomplish their academic and personal goals.

The interactive white board system will allow students to become more involved in the teaching and the learning of each lesson. By donating to my project, you will help increase academic achievement.
