My Project

How can we promote the concept of empowering students through art? One way is to link reading and art. I am asking for one whiteboard table in the classroom for my students to use during reading and writing lessons.

A key strategy to help my students understand concepts in literature is to visualize the setting and key events in the story.

I ask students to draw what they read about. What better way to do this than to have a canvas right on our reading table? Students will be able to write directly on the whiteboard table which will be extremely motivating for them. The fact that they can draw a scene, a setting, or a character and share their learning with me as well as their classmates will truly link literature and the arts. This table will provide a fun and interactive way to learn!
