Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach the Kindergarten English Language Learner class at a public school in Los Angeles. The majority of my students come from low income households and are either new to the United States or have only lived here a few years and are learning the language. Unfortunately, most of them lack support at home because many of their parents have recently immigrated to our country and do not speak the language. This is one of many challenges faced by my students. Despite the challenges they face, my students are eager and excited to learn.

The dry-erase boards will provide opportunities for my students to be engaged and plan their art masterpieces.

It's important to have students be able to use the whiteboards to practice simple drawings and designs. In Kindergarten, students learn about the basic strokes to draw people, places and animals. I hope that the additional resources will help us grow even more!
