My Students
This year, my students have remained strong and motivated to work hard in school even with the challenges brought on by COVID-19. My students understand that with everyday learning, there are constant changes and limits to help everyone stay safe and healthy. They complete their assignments at home AND in school and they are eager to learn new content.
I want to make sure that my students have the materials they need to succeed with their learning.
We are an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classroom of two teachers, located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY. We are also a Title I School. Our fourth-grade class consists of students with learning disabilities, English Language Learners, and non-disabled students who learn together in an inclusive environment.
My Project
All of the students in our class benefit from using white boards in all classroom subjects. During math, students can use white boards and dry erase markers to write down their work for a problem that they may later record on their laptop. During Reading and Writing periods, students might voice answers to a teacher who will record it on a white board for students to copy onto their technology device. White boards, markers and erasers are super important in our class on a daily basis! This project will allow all students to have their own personal white board, marker, and eraser until the end of the year.
