My Students

The students in my class are highly motivated with a deep desire to learn. They are sponges, soaking up the learning this year. They are a complete joy to teach and regularly ask high level questions and care about the answers. This group of students is also very empathetic. Despite sharing these similarities the students are also diverse. Many of the students have socioeconomic disadvantages. (The entire school qualifies for Title One funding.) Many of the students also have one or both parents actively serving in the military,

Quality education ensures that all students have the opportunity they deserve to be successful!

By enriching the education of these students while they are actively trying to learn, I can better help them reach their potential.

My Project

We are very fortunate that our school is moving into a brand new building. As with all new schools, we may not have all the furniture we need to effectively store or house our materials. The furniture is an item that we will slowly acquirer over time. Yet, students need organization right from the beginning of the school year. My classroom is in need of bookshelves to store my reading center and our class sets of chapter books. In the Spring, I was able to get two sets of chapter books through DonorsChoose. My students loved the books. I will need shelves to store these books and other class sets.

Organized books are inviting books!

Third grade is the year students delve deeper into reading. They begin exploring the world of chapter books. They love looking through the class library trying to find the perfect book to read. Please help me to create the perfect class library to get my students excited to read.
