My Students

What does teaching involve? It involves teaching the whole child in a way that is fun, interesting, and engaging. I teach in Pre-K through 12th grade school that follows the pillars of Maria Montessori where students truly learn together as a community. As an ENL teacher with students of all different backgrounds, my classroom is no different than any other. My goal is to create a welcoming and engaging environment where my students could build upon their strengths and continue to grow. It has been and continues to be a great joy to provide my students across the grade levels with that opportunity.

My Project

The gift of the projector screen and informational text game would make a world of difference for my students and their English learning. Through the use of a projector screen, my students would be able to have their needs met by being given a chance for students to observe a demonstration of what is expected for their assignments in a way that it's easy to view. My students would be further engaged in their learning by being presented images and videos to bring content to life. They would also be given the chance to become fully engaged with informational texts with their peers while playing a board game. These skills will not only improve their reading fluency but also their comprehension.
