Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students lose pencils from time to time. They many times do not have a fixed place to store their materials. My project will give my students a blank canvas pencil pouch. The project will allow the students to make an expressive personal statement and help them be mindful of their supplies. They will paint on their canvas pencil pouches which will make this a personal object that serves a function.

Students will create and paint expressive images on their pencil pouches to give them a sense of pride in their organization of their supplies.

Students will apply gesso and use paint markers to decorate them.
