Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my 8th-grade math and science classes, I always have students who can finish their work accurately and quickly. While I have several strategies for extending the learning of these 'early finishers,' I'd like to add a 'When You're Done' bookshelf full of more interactive learning activities.

I plan to use the puzzles, games, and other materials to help students master and refresh their math and science skills in a fun way.

Many of these materials can be used with partners and in teams, improving students' cooperation skills. There are several, like the Knex pieces, the Knex pieces, etc.

Moreover, a 'When You're Done' shelf allows for more student choice in learning and prevents non-learning free time when students finish the assigned activity. Students with special needs in my co-taught inclusion classroom will also benefit from the math material, which will help them fill in some of their learning gaps from previous years.

Any donations are always appreciated and would mean so much to the students!
