My Project

Hello! First off, thank you so much for supporting my past projects, it really helped make my first year as a special education teacher go smoothly and made me feel empowered and believed in as an educator.

The school year is a few short months away, and I want to continue to offer my students lunch and other food if they need it while they are in my classroom.

All of your donations will help make this possible. The one item that isn't a food item, is a toaster; one of the classes I teach is life skills & study skills, and we cook every few weeks. Something that I wished that I had last year, but didn't, was a toaster so that we could do something simple like toast and heat up some of the frozen food that kids have asked to warm up before.

Mac & Cheese cups, cup of noodles, and beef-a-roni are all meals that they can make on their own with our class microwave or hot water kettle in the classroom. They are also meals that I send home for the weekend for kids that ask for food at the end of the day, or during 3 day weekends, or school breaks.

Hot chips are a fan favorite, and so are sour candies. Many people bond over food, and sharing what you like, and having what you like in class. When my students saw that I had hot chips and takis, they felt seen, it really is the small things in life that make the difference.

When my students are in the classroom, they know that they will have their needs met. They can use a fidget, ask for a break, or heat up some food. Thank you for making that possible.
