My students are very curious learners. They love hands on, outside activities. They are very inquisitive and love to ask "why?" My students are very diverse and have many different backgrounds, but they absolutely love learning together.
My students are extremely hard workers and strive to do their best in everything.
My favorite thing about my students is that, no matter their differences, they always come together to support one another.
My Project
What's the weather? My STEM students will be able to create spreadsheets and chart the weather day by day to see trends and weather patterns. Each student will have an opportunity to check the station every morning and record their findings in a shared spreadsheet. At the end of each week we will be able to analyze the data and search for trends to make predictions for the following week.
This weather station will benefit the entire school, allowing even the smallest of grades to get hands on when it comes to the weather.
Since my school is in a smaller town, our specific weather does not show up on the big weather maps, this station will allow the students to see the weather where they live and compare to the bigger cities around.
