Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students attend a Title I elementary school in North Carolina. Most of them are bilingual, speaking English only at school. Many parents/families work two or three jobs to provide the basic necessities at home. They want the best education for their children and to help them as much as they can.
My students are hard-working, curious kids.
They enjoy all hands-on activities and have a variety of interests. Our class works well together and enjoys helping each other learn.
My Project
I am requesting copy paper, notebooks, dry erase markers, and erasers.
Copy paper is as basic as it gets when taking about school supplies!
I use copy paper make differentiated activities for my students in all subject areas. Each week, I photocopy books for them to read with me during our guided reading lesson. It allows them to read the story with me all week and then rake the book home to read with their families, continuing to improve their literacy skills. The paper also gets used for homework and to print important papers like progress reports.
The notebooks will be used when we fill up our current ones. Each student has a science, literacy, and math journal that we use daily. Before long, the notebooks will be filled up and we will need more journals to continue our learning.
The dry erase markers and erase will replenish our current supply. With dry erase tables, we write our spelling words, sight words, and math facts daily. With all that writing, the markers run our quickly and the eraser wear and tear.
Please help us replenish our basic classroom supplies!
