Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine, you're a young lady in school going about your normal routine when unexpectedly, you get your period. Perhaps for even the very first time. It can be discouraging, and uncomfortable, and cause stress and distraction from focusing on their academics for the day.

By providing extra underwear, feminine wipes, discreet carrying bags, disposal tools, and pads; these emergency kits will help my students comfortably make it through the remainder of the day when their period greets them while they're already at school.

Previously donated materials have almost run out, and your gracious donation would mean the world to many of my students when one moment in one day can make it feel like it's crashing down. Teaching in a school that serves over 1200 students, many young ladies are sent to me daily for these much-needed essential items. This fully funded project will restock and store menstrual care products. Additional items received will boost student confidence by adding a how-to-use card and affirmations to each pack.
