My Students

Help my preschoolers become master chefs in our store and kitchen.

My students are preschoolers from a lower socioeconomic areas in the San Fernando Valley.

This is their first experience in a school environment. Most of my students do not have opportunities to be able to pretend play with these types of "creative play" toys.

My Project

My students need a play kitchen, table and chairs, and shopping cart. These resources will present the opportunity, maybe even for the first time, for my preschoolers to become America's next Top Chef. They will be able to pretend to go shopping for their "list" of food and ingredients. Then they can take the food back to their kitchen and cook their meal. After, they can serve their wonderful feast to their classmates.

This project will give my students such amazing learning experiences.

They will be using their imagination at full capacity. They will be learning how to work with their peers to get a project done. They will feel the confidence and camaraderie when their delicious meal is complete.
