We are a small community school situated in the rural area of our county. We are a high poverty school with a large portion of our students receiving free and reduced lunch.
I teach 270 fun and amazing kids about the importance of being physically active and healthy during my physical education classes.
My students are learning life long skills in my PE classes. I want to give them every opportunity to learn about as many different ways to be physically active as possible!
My Project
I am requesting lacrosse equipment for my physical education classes. In the past few years, interest in the sport of lacrosse has grown in my area. It started at the high school level and has now reached my elementary school students. Still though, there are very few affordable opportunities for my students to learn about this sport outside of school. This equipment will complete a classroom set of lacrosse sticks, goals and balls, giving each student in my class equal access to the lacrosse equipment.
My students have shown the desire to learn about lacrosse and are excited about the opportunity to try something new!
I am constantly on the lookout for different sports and new opportunities for physical activity to use in my classes.
