My Students

My students are awesome! They are creative, active in their community, and high achievers. Many of our students participate in competitive sports or performing arts. Our students regularly display the character education traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. They are upstanders, performers and thinkers. Our goals for our students is to be lifelong learners, advocate for themselves, and be contributing, happy members of society. It is my job to teach them about the opportunities waiting for them after they complete high school.

My Project

Our school is committed to making sure every student is career ready. Hosting a Career Fair will provide a way for students to connect learning experiences to their future opportunities and ignite a passion for educational success. Career Fairs provide students with the tools and resources to begin making important and valuable decisions about their personal interests. Students get to ask questions and make valuable connections with experts and adult leaders. Our PTA plays a vital role in connecting our parents, students and teachers for this special day. The Los Cerros Career Day connects our Panther Community and students love this opportunity. We make the event festive with balloons and provide both our volunteer parents and presenters name tags. We also provide electrical cords for presenters which have to be secured to the gym floor with blue painters tape. Finally, our librarian is supporting us by having a photo booth with a "What I Want to Be" frame. We are providing the film.
