My Project

I am a sixth-grade self-contained teacher. My students are always looking for hands-on and engaging activities. This year, I received one mini robot stem kit, from a friend, and it has been a HUGE hit with my class. I’d be interested in getting more kids similar but different, so I can continue to engage my students. I just recently let them start building them during a WIN block (what do I need). They have been asking to do it during our morning STEM bin time, as well as in any downtime that they have after finishing assignments.

I have seen the kids so engaged, excited, and collaborative.

The kids have been problem-solving in trying to create the robots and are excited to show them to me and other teachers in the building. My principal even commented on how engaged they were right up until the bell at the end of the day. These materials would get made, because pretty soon, the robots I have will be done, and I’m hopeful, with some help, that I can continue this!
