Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of over 75% English Language Learners and offers many Special Education Classes such as Special Day Classes, PALS, and Autism Classes. Our school has Extended Transitional Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First through Fifth Grade.

Our students are welcoming to our guests, always greeting them with a "Good Morning!" We have students with learning disabilities and challenges at home, however they come to school with the mentality that nothing can stop them from reaching their goals.

My Project

Our Kindergarten yard is so small and has an odd shape to it that we can't really have a nice playground apparatus. Therefore we need to supply our students with alternative equipment that will help them develop their fine motor skills and teach them how to work together.

Our students deserve a variety of equipment so that they can learn the value of sportsmanship and take pride in being a team player.

We want to provide them with as many types of games and equipment as possible so that they can truly enjoy their time outside. We hope that they will learn that there are a lot of things they can do for fun than just sitting with a video game.
