Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting writing journals for my students to use for independent writing time. These journals are very engaging and will help my students with their writing skills. The prompts in these journals are fun for students. Students can use these daily and share with their peers. This will be good for my students to practice.

My goal is to get my students comfortable with writing.

At this young age writing can be intimidating and scary. But, these journals will make students feel comfortable as they practice their writing skills throughout the school year. I am also requesting pencils. Pencils are essential for us to use. As a teacher, I know that you can never have enough pencils.

Lastly, I have requested gratitude journals. These will be used during our SEL time where students can take time to reflect and practice gratitude daily. Taking time for reflections will help shape my students to be respectful and kind to others.
