This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Drumming can have many benefits for children including stress relief, coordination, and increasing speech and language skills. Drumming especially has an impact on children who suffer from anxiety, low self esteem, and challenging learning disabilities.

If you donate to our Djembe project, it can help students of all ages, levels, and abilities in grades 3-6.

Many of my Hagginwood students love to drum, but most come from low income households whose families cannot afford instruments.

Please consider donating to a wonderful cause, by giving the Hagginwood students the gift of the beat!
