This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very enthusiastic about art projects this year. They have enjoyed painting with watercolors & tempura paints the most. Even though they have had the opportunity to paint on watercolor paper and large poster paper, they have not experienced painting on canvas this school year.

I would like my students to experience painting on canvas by providing a canvas panel for each of them to use in class.

My students will enjoy painting a scene from their current class novels on the canvas and seeing it hanging on the bulletin boards outside my classroom.
