My Project

I am an education specialist who works with students from grades 2-5 who need extra support in all academic areas. I am constantly looking for ways to increase confidence, motivate students and encourage them to take risks in the classroom. Students who feel confident and motivated always experience more academic and personal growth.

Every time a student is working well, we recognize them as being "on fire" and they get to sit in the special fire chair.

When students earn the fire chair, they get their picture taken and added to the "Wall of Flame." This has become a fun way for us to reflect on our growth and learning throughout the year. It has also been a fun way for us to celebrate each other in a quick and immediate way.

A Polaroid camera has become a staple in our class and, while we enjoy this tradition and are happy having to take more and more pictures, film can be expensive. Supporting this project will help inspire confidence and learning in our classroom!
