This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Creative Photography students are mostly new to the world of MAKING photos, not simply taking quick shots meant for social media. They're eager to learn and are open to new photographic experiences and absorbing knowledge about important photographer in art history.

Many of my students don't realize that photography is an actual fine art form.

Being able to teach proper lighting techniques, set-ups and compositional elements is crucial to being a successful photographer, and essential for their creative progress. Using lighting and backdrops, as well as making photographs for advertising and design purposes by using a light box will be very important skill-building at an age where students are starting to think about what careers they might be interested in exploring!
