My Students

I get the pleasure of teaching my current group of students next year. While we are very comfortable and know each other well, my students also "know" all of our class books. When they enter our classroom as 5th graders, I want them to have access to some new high-interest books.

Most of my inner-city 4th grade students fell in love with reading this school year.

Thanks to many generous donors, we have a lot of highly-engaging books for students to choose from. I know that having such a range of quality texts was one of the main reasons my students found the joy in reading.

My Project

I've selected over 20 books to add to my new 5th grade classroom library. I think that by adding some new books (some from new series), my students will continue to grow in their literary lives. The books I've selected are at a range of levels and genres to best meet my students' diverse needs and interests.

By donating to this project, you will be fostering a love of reading for 25 fifth grade students.
