Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our high school campus is diverse! Students represent many countries, backgrounds, faiths, and cultures. One thing we all share is a love of food. Our diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, a majority of which is students, would like to create a new project that celebrates the diversity of our school.
We will celebrate diversity and cultures by creating a cookbook of students' family recipes to share.
We hope to have a "free" first run to generate interest and appreciation for student cultures. Of course, one copy will belong in the school library. Beyond a celebration of culture, students will lead the way in this project by collecting stories and recipes, sharing narratives, and formatting the final version of the book. Learning and community will come together -- please help us as we reach our goal!
